In order to create over 8 hours of an exciting original soundtrack, Belousova & Ostinelli wrote and produced songs, folk tunes, dances, and score, collaborated with virtuoso soloists and artists, and recorded unique historical instruments, many of which were crafted specifically for The Witcher. The duo personally performed and recorded over 60 instruments, including hurdy-gurdy, psaltery, dulcimers, harmoniums, harp, ethnic flutes, shruti box, tagelharpa, erhu, toy pianos, jaw harp, berimbau, a variety of percussion and drums, contrabass, and …. a metallic trash can!
The duo is looking forward to premiering their Suite from The Witcher with a full orchestra, choir and virtuoso soloists in front of a sold-out audience at the 2021 Krakow Film Music Festival.
Belousova & Ostinelli have previously collaborated on multiple projects including Amazon Studio’s THE ROMANOFFS, from Mad Men creator and nine-time Emmy-winner Matthew Weiner, featuring a star-studded cast including Christina Hendricks, Isabelle Huppert, Aaron Eckhart, Amanda Peet, and Diane Lane. "The one thing that stood out undeniably was the series' impeccable taste in music," - said Meaww, praising Belousova & Ostinelli's score for its "sophisticated music palette."
SACRED LIES, created by Emmy-nominated Raelle Tucker, executive produced by Tucker & Blumhouse Television, and distributed by NBCUniversal's Peacock, features original songs and score Belousova & Ostinelli wrote and produced for both seasons, starring Juliette Lewis, Ryan Kwanten, and Elena Kampouris. The International Film Music Critics Association (IFMCA) lauded the soundtrack for its "exciting, innovative flavour," while Vehlinggo called it "a stunner" applauding its "remarkable versatility." Lakeshore Records released the original soundtrack for the series.
Belousova and Ostinelli also composed the critically acclaimed soundtrack for Paramount Network’s adaptation of the Stephen King novel, THE MIST, reimagined for television by Christian Torpe. Movie Pilot praised the score as “a stroke of genius” and “pivotal in bringing THE MIST to life.” The IFMCA lauded it as a "fascinating and addictive composition, a superb score on its own and one of the most affecting parts of the show in context. Once again Belousova & Ostinelli deliver an exceptional composition. The Mist is a complex and complete score that you shouldn’t miss under any circumstances," while Electronic Musician described it as "some of the most exciting and moving film music in a while." BMG Records released the original soundtrack for the series.
Their collaboration on M.F.A., starring Francesca Eastwood, earned them a coveted spot on Taste of Cinema’s 10 Best Film Scores of 2017. The IFMCA declared the composing team of Giona Ostinelli and Sonya Belousova “one of the most innovative and exciting to listen to working today,” adding that their music for M.F.A. was “an acid trip of a score which should not be missed.” Variety praised the score for its "vividly unnerving" quality while The Hollywood Reporter admired its richness. Lakeshore Records released the original soundtrack for the film.
A virtuoso concert pianist, Belousova gained millions of fans across the globe starring in the viral sensation PLAYER PIANO, produced by Marvel Comics’ Stan Lee. Belousova’s brilliant performances of her virtuosic arrangements were declared “terrific” (Forbes), “mind-blowing” (Entertainment Weekly), “galactic” (Mashable), “masterful” (MTV), "wunderkind" (Tubefilter), and have surpassed 20 million views worldwide.
Belousova was invited by MITSUBISHI to star, perform and serve as the music producer for the For Your Luxury commercial regularly broadcast across Europe and Asia.
Ostinelli's hallucinatory score for the breakout psychological thriller DARLING was lauded as "arresting and discordant" by The Hollywood Reporter, “one of the most interesting and innovative soundscapes of 2016” by the IFMCA, and "one of the most effective scores of recent times" by Dread Central. It was released by Mondo Records on vinyl and Lakeshore Records on CD. Sundance and SXSW cult favorite CARNAGE PARK was described as a "soundtrack alternating among ambient Lynchian strains and snatches of hard-core rock," by The New York Times, The Huffington Post proclaimed Ostinelli “an innovator with ‘surprise’ coded in his DNA.”

In addition to Belousova's impressive resume of films and TV series, she composed three original ballets ORCHIS, SURROGATE and THE HOUSE OF BERNARDA ALBA in collaboration with acclaimed choreographer and Boston Ballet’s soloist Viktor Plotnikov performed by the troupe of the Festival Ballet Providence. Belousova's 2013 theater debut ORCHIS was praised as a “big hit” and “stunning collaboration.” SURROGATE premiered in 2014 as part of the Festival Ballet's famed Up Close On Hope series. Based on Federico Garcia Lorca’s play, THE HOUSE OF BERNARDA ALBA premiered on March 4, 2016 to a sold-out audience with Broadway World lauding the “fantastic original score… The visuals, dance and Belousova’s music all come together to create something that will linger in the viewer’s mind for a long time.”
The recipient of the Russian Ministry of Culture Award among other numerous honors, Belousova performed in the most celebrated venues of both her native Russia and USA, including the Great Hall of Moscow Conservatory, Grand and Chamber Halls of the St. Petersburg Philharmonia, Carnegie Hall, Jordan Hall, Skirball Cultural Center, Los Angeles Convention Center, San Diego Convention Center. Belousova has wowed audiences at Comic-Con, introduced by the legendary Stan Lee, gave a brilliant virtuosic performance at the 2014 Golden Score Awards followed by a standing ovation from the industry elite gathered there. She also made an appearance at the Anime Expo performing solo with a 70-piece orchestra and 30-piece choir at a cheering sold-out crowd.
